This painting was inspired by the love of fishing shared by so many—my own family included! There is something almost sacred about the sport of fishing! How can it not be: breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, calm and mysterious blue water, the anticipation of catching big fish and a lot of them, and being with people who love to fish as much as you do! I suppose that growing up in Minnesota, also known as Land of 10,000 lakes, has played a part in my creation of this painting. No matter the day of week, or season we are in, you will find boats or fish houses being pulled by pickups, heading to or from lakes on almost any highway in MN. I hope all fisherman will enjoy the spirit of FISHING, and that it will add the perfect touch to your fisherman’s cabin or home!
